The flood water from the east has made its ponderous journey and finally arrived at our door. At no other time in Australian history has water been such an important national issue, and yet its meandering 1400 kilometre passage is met with concern . . . what we have discovered is a plethora of life, the river has been reborn. Our sunrises and sunsets are filled with the sights and sounds of a recovering ecosystem. A myriad of frogs, insects and bird life fill the air with a melodious tune. This water will nourish a vast landscape and drive the cycle of life in areas far away from the surface water.
So stop in and enjoy this wondrous display – it may not happen again for some time.
